We like to give our guests tip-offs from our insider info. It is the benefit of being in the Alps since 2006 and seeing the seasons from start to finish. Over the years we have told you about the first week in January. Then about booking your group ski trips before the summer holidays to get a jump start. And now this. Morzine March Skiing!

Great snow, quiet pistes and the start of the clear skies.

“The snowiest week in Morzine is week 1 of March. There are typically 3.6 snowy days during this week with 40 cm of snowfall.” “Snowfall Amount and Temperature based on nowcast weather data over the last 11 years.” Source: snow-forecast.com

Sure, for you powder hounds my top recommendation is the first week in January. Super cold temperatures, fresh snowfall and a good back record for this over the years. But did you know that the snowiest week in Morzine is in fact the first week in March!

March can be a paradise for fresh snow fans and fair-weather skiers alike. And this is why Morzine March skiing is my top recommendation for bigger group bookings- it’s a crowd-pleaser!

With the school holidays of February behind us. March boasts, the deepest base layer of snow… but hardly any crowds there to ski it.

The deepest base layer of the season

If my undiluted love for March is still leaving you not sure about this time in the season, here is the low down from the snow history which shows some of the deepest snow in March!

What about April?!

With the Easter holidays falling in April, we have many who have come to join us again and again on the slopes. This time is one of the most popular with families and learners on account of the warmer sunnier weather, longer days and springtime atmosphere.
