What Cover is out there
Over the past several weeks, insurers have announced different variations of travel insurance offered which covers different aspects of Covid 19 cover.
This handy table created by Which provides the perfect start point to finding the right cover for you.
What you CAN get cover for
StaySure is just one of many insurance companies to launch an FCO travel advisory extension. This means that now, should the FCO advise against travel, you are still insured should you choose to travel! Ski Holiday travel insurance is also now widely available for a variety of Covid related medical claims. Find out more on the link below.
When are you NOT covered?
The grey area for most insurance cover comes when the FCO announces a travel ban, if borders close or if the resort closes. But fear not! In this scenario, Skiology has brought in a new booking policy whereby if a travel ban prevents you from attending your Skiology holiday, we will offer 100% credit note or a 75% refund (increasing proportionally should we resell the dates).
Reassurance for your next holiday
We are well practiced in safely delivering our holidays following a full and busy summer welcoming guests to our Morzine and Les Carroz chalets. Despite travel bans, changes in government advise and an increase in local precautions, we were still able to welcome most of our guests to enjoy the fresh air and open space of the mountains. Those who were unable to come were able to receive either a refund or have transferred their summer holiday to next year.
Now is the time to invest in your holiday now that it is financially covered for a range of scenarios. The excitement is mounting for the start of the 2020/21 winter season with now set to fly next week (the third week of September).
